Social Sciences Week is an initiative of Australia’s main social sciences associations https://socialsciences.org.au/socialsciencesweek/

It is an opportunity for social scientists to engage non-academic audiences with cutting edge social science research, to showcase the diversity and relevance of social science. It will include interactive community and school-based events, bringing the social sciences to life, particularly for the next generation of university students, social scientists and citizens. High school students in civics and citizenship and the social sciences are one of the priority audiences for Social Sciences Week and the Organising Committee has partnered with SCEAA to offer to find academics to visit classes during the week.

Please register here:

*Belonging
* Identity
* Citizenship
* Indigenous Culture

If you are interested, please provide the time and date of your class, the year level and a short statement on the topic you would like the academic visitor to explore with the students. Registrations are open now and will close by 6 August 2021.
